Size the band around the finished stack
Three sponge bodies and three scrubber faces should be visibly distinct at the open sides of the pack. Measure the stack after compression from the actual paper sleeve, not as three separate dimensions added on a spreadsheet. Leave a controlled overlap on the back so the front panel stays square.
If the pack uses a clear outer film as well, specify whether the paper sleeve goes under or over it. The pictured version uses a printed band around the sponges. That is a separate packaging component, not an adhesive label applied to foam.
Make the count visible in words and product
The front says “Dishwashing Sponges” and “3 Pack.” The exposed side also shows three individual blocks. That agreement matters when several pack sizes sit next to one another. I would put the approved count in the artwork version matrix and compare the printed band to a real finished stack before bulk approval.
A plate-and-sponge icon helps shoppers locate the category, but not a performance claim. Avoid promising scratch resistance or cleaning results from artwork alone. The dish-soap label guide
Proof paper and closure as one system
The band has to hold its fold while leaving the product visible. Ask the supplier to show the chosen stock printed, folded and closed on the actual stack. Avery Dennison's paper-and-cardboard overview
If the sleeve needs adhesive closure, specify a tab or seam and test it after handling. I would not hide that requirement behind a request for “labels,” because the finishing and packing cost may differ from a roll of stickers.
Quote the full multipack
Provide sponge dimensions and count, stack orientation, any outer film, sleeve flat size and overlap, paper preference, approved copy, pack variants, quantities and assembly method. Request a print proof and a complete pack sample.
The practical win is a band that can be put on consistently without making three sponges look like two. A beautiful flat sheet is only halfway through this job.
