Measure the true label zone

Start with the cylindrical section, shoulder transition and any crimp, cap or tray contact point. A label that looks modest on screen can run into a seam or disappear behind a vial holder once the product moves into a set.

Give the small panel one clear job

On a tiny vial, product family and variant must beat decoration. A droplet mark, molecule-inspired dot pattern or botanical sprig can build original recognition without copying a known brand. Keep the icon system consistent across the range.

Make small type a production question

Dense information needs a separate, realistic panel strategy. The responsible product and compliance teams should confirm final wording for the intended market; artwork should reserve readable space rather than squeeze every line onto the front.

Choose materials for glass and handling

Clear and amber glass show every edge. Film constructions and finishes may be evaluated for the needed durability and appearance, while the final choice should be checked against glass, moisture, label size, dispensing method and application equipment.

Plan trays and multi-vial sets together

A vial label may work alone and still fail as a set. Put the sample ampoules into their tray or carton during proofing, then check whether colour, icon and product order can be found quickly from the buyer's point of view.

Approve at real size

Review the actual vial, not an enlarged PDF. Supply vial dimensions, artwork, finish preference and quantity. For a larger serum format, see our frosted glass bottle label guide.
