Measure the usable label panel first
Ask for the straight-sided label panel, the jar diameter and the clearance around the lid and base. A label that looks generous on a flat screen can crowd the shoulder of a short jar. For a wrap label, confirm the overlap or gap you want before layout begins. For a front label, leave visual breathing room so the product name remains easy to scan on a shelf.
Match the material to the jar and use case
Face cream, body butter and balm jars may be handled with damp hands, stored in bathrooms or exposed to oils from the product routine. White BOPP with a protective laminate is a practical starting point for many plastic and glass jars. Clear film can create a minimal look on frosted or colored containers, while paper-look stocks work best when the product environment is dry. Test material and adhesive on the actual container before approving a production run.
Build a clear front-label hierarchy
The front panel usually works hardest when it leads with brand, product name, variant and net content. Supporting claims, fragrance notes or benefits should not compete with the product name. Reserve the side or back panel for directions, ingredients, batch fields and other required market information. Your responsible regulatory team should confirm the final wording for each destination market.
Use one system across jars, bottles and cartons

Approve a proof with real production details
Send the jar photo or dieline, label dimensions, quantity, finish preference and artwork. A digital proof is the right place to check copy, barcode clearance, edge spacing and color direction before printing. It is much faster to adjust the proof than to correct labels after they arrive.
