Measure the opening, not just the jar

Take the inside opening diameter and confirm whether the dust cover rests inside a rim or on top of the wax. A few millimetres change whether the circle looks intentionally fitted or simply cut from a larger sheet.

Make scent recognition visible from above

A flame symbol, botanical motif, constellation dots or colour ring can give each scent a clear top-down cue. Use an original graphic family and keep it consistent across the collection; buyers should not need to turn every jar around to find the variant.

Let the dust cover do a different job

The side label can carry the complete front hierarchy. The dust cover can focus on scent, collection or a small presentation detail. Repeating every line of information on both panels makes a premium candle feel busy rather than considered.

Choose paper around the packing journey

Uncoated, textured and specialty papers each create a different tactile result. The final material should be selected around the jar opening, wax surface, lid usage, packing sequence, storage and how easily the cover needs to be removed.

Coordinate the carton and gift set

Carry the scent icon or colour ring into the carton, belly band or seal label when the candle is sold as a gift. This gives packers a simpler variant check and lets the customer understand the set without opening each box.

Proof from a top-down shelf view

Review the dust cover on the finished jar and beside the side label before print. Supply opening dimensions, jar photos, artwork, finish preference and quantity. For a related circular format, see our candle lid label guide.
