Measure the flat circle, not the lid edge
Take the usable flat diameter inside any raised rim, then check where the label will meet texture, embossing or a curved edge. A round label that reaches too far outward can look off-centre even when the artwork is perfectly centred.
Give each scent a clear top-down cue
A flame, crescent, botanical sprig, starburst or colour ring can create a memorable scent system without borrowing a luxury brand's mark. One primary symbol and a consistent palette are usually stronger than a lid crowded with tiny copy.
Make the lid and side labels different jobs
The lid label is for fast recognition from above; the side label can carry the more complete product hierarchy. When the two panels repeat every element, the collection gets busy. When they share a graphic rulebook, the collection feels deliberate.
Choose the finish for handling and presentation
Metal, painted metal and wood lids each present different surfaces. Paper, film and special finishes can create very different results, so the final choice should be checked against the lid coating, storage, handling and how the jars will be packed.
Coordinate gift boxes and sealed sets
For gift packaging, carry the scent icon or colour ring from the lid onto the carton or seal label. This makes assortment packing easier and gives the buyer a quick way to identify the variant without opening every box.
