Stain Remover Pen Labels: Fit the Copy to a Pocket-Sized Tube

Find the fixed body and leave the cap free

Measure the body with the cap installed. Mark the cap seam, clip travel, bottom radius and any grip texture. The label in the illustration stays on the fixed barrel; it does not bridge the part a buyer removes. The usable print width is not automatically the pen's full circumference: the overlap and seam position also matter.

Ask the packer to apply a plain dieline sample to the actual component. If it wrinkles near a tapered end or interferes with the clip, change the size before fine-tuning typography. A longer barrel or a carton may be a better purchase than heroic microprint.

Give the front one job

The front should state the brand, “Stain Pen” and a variant or pack identifier where appropriate. The illustrated fabric-swatch and spot motif is decorative; it does not substantiate a stain-removal claim. Keep approved directions, cautions and market-required text in a legible information area or on an outer pack if the tube cannot hold them. Have the responsible product team approve the final wording.

Print a proof at one-to-one scale. Hold it at normal reading distance, then ask someone who has not seen the file which way the cap opens and what the product is. If they cannot find either answer, changing to a metallic finish will not help.

Compare the whole label construction

A pen is handled repeatedly and may sit in a bag. Choose face material, adhesive, ink and protective finish as one system, then check a labelled production-equivalent pen under expected handling. Avery Dennison's pressure-sensitive adhesive overview explicitly recommends testing printed labels in actual use conditions; it is not a warranty for this specific pack.

If the component maker offers direct printing, quote it against an applied label and account for version changes. Applied labels may suit multiple small runs, while direct print removes a separate application step. Neither route wins without the quantities and packing process.

Quote by component and artwork

Send the pen sample, drawing, straight-wall length, diameter, cap and clip positions, artwork count, approved text, order quantity per design and application method.
