Build one system for bottle and refill
Keep the product family, variant colour and primary symbol consistent, then adapt the panel to each package. A flowing hair mark, water droplet or refill-loop icon can connect formats without forcing a pouch to imitate a rigid bottle.
Reserve room for flexible-pack movement
Top seals, gussets and tear zones interrupt the artwork. Set the label panel inside the stable area, then review it filled and standing. A good flat proof is only the starting point for a pouch that will fold in real handling.
Make the refill cue obvious but not loud
Refill needs to be found quickly, especially when the parent bottle is nearby. Use a consistent loop icon, panel colour or placement rule. The useful design decision is not more decoration; it is one clear cue repeated without noise.
Specify for humidity and product contact
Shampoo pouches are carried in wet bathrooms and may be exposed to product spills. Film label materials and finishes can be assessed for durability, while final selection should follow the pouch film, formula, storage conditions, label area and application process.
Set the production orientation early
For roll-applied labels, the applicator needs the correct unwind direction, gap and presentation. Confirm that workflow before approval. A handsome label that arrives in the wrong orientation is just a very organised delay.
Proof the pair on the same shelf
