Work from the bottle's available panel
Diffuser bottles can be round, square or faceted, and the usable label panel may be much smaller than expected. Measure the straight surface and note seams, shoulders and cap clearance. A front label is often easier to apply and read than a full wrap on a narrow round bottle.
Keep scent information easy to find
Brand, scent name and product type should be immediately visible. If the collection has several scents, establish a stable type hierarchy and vary only a controlled color, scent family name or small graphic cue. This makes a line easier to merchandise and simplifies repeat artwork updates.
Select materials for the product environment
Glass bottles and refill packs need different material and adhesive choices. Film labels are a practical option where handling, wiping or oil contact may occur; carton labels may allow a wider choice of paper or premium textured stocks. Test the selected construction on the finished pack rather than evaluating material only on a flat sample.
Coordinate label, carton and refill pack
Outer packaging gives you more room for story, directions and market-specific information, while the bottle label should remain clean. Plan the visual system across both formats and reserve enough space for batch codes and barcodes. Your compliance team should review the final required wording and symbols for each sales market.
Use proofing to check scale and production details
